The briefing was to develop the visual identity for a new cypriot-greek cultural house based in Barcelona.
In order to develop it, their core values had to be the main characters: hospitality and community spirit. Most of their traditions come from these values, such as the Lefkara lacework that started as a typical neighborhood meeting.
With this values as a starting point, I created the identity trying to transmit them, so looking for a candid, warm, human and natural brand.
Kefi is the chosen name for the house. It’s a greek word that doesn’t have translation to other languages, and means the spirit of joy and enthusiasm; a feeling that comes when we are fully in tune with ourselves — and identity becomes a big part of it.
The design comes to life across stationery, printed promotional materials and merchandising.
